Scarleth Ramnarine, a 54-year-old resident of West Jordan, Utah and a beloved family man has tragically passed away. The Department of Public Safety has identified the victim in a deadly crash that happened on SR-96 on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old West Jordan, Utah resident Scarleth Ramnarine. On October 29, at around 1:10 p.m., a semi-truck was travelling east near milepost 17 and a Ford pickup truck was travelling west on SR-95.
According to reports, the pickup’s driver lost control on the slick road, swerved into the eastbound lane, and collided with the truck. Following the collision, Ramnarine, the Ford’s passenger, was pronounced dead after suffering severe injuries. Despite having non-life-threatening injuries, the Ford driver was sent to a nearby hospital. A private vehicle transported the semi’s driver to a nearby hospital. After the incident, SR-96 was closed in both directions for a few hours.
