Qiang Wu Queens NY Death:- A 60-year-old woman was pulled from the East River near College Point Thursday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Qiang Wu. According to reports, Qiang Wu of Booth Memorial Avenue a block south of Kissena Corridor Park passed away following a tragic incident. She was found floating off the shore of College Point.
What happened to Qiang Wu?
A woman from Queensboro Hill was pulled from the East River near College Point on Thursday afternoon. Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing responded to a 911 call reporting someone in the water near Hermon A. McNeil Park, close to Bay Park Estates, just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of 115th Street and Poppenhusen Avenue.
The 60-year-old victim was found unconscious and unresponsive, according to police. Emergency Medical Services arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.
She was later identified as Qiang Wu, who lived on Booth Memorial Avenue, just south of Kissena Corridor Park, according to the NYPD. The cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the investigation is ongoing.
